Jordan would lace up in four different pairs from the Air Jordan line throughout his career, aside from the Air
Ship and Air Train during his rookie campaign.
The first pairs would appear during the 1987-1988 season. Jordan wore the Air Jordan 2 before debuting the Air
Jordan 3 in February 1988. However, he wore the Nike Air Alpha Force in at least two games throughout that span
during the season leading up to the Air Jordan 3 debut.
It would take seven years before would see Jordan lace up in a non-Air Jordan line shoe again.
In the 1995 playoffs, amidst the Jordan 11 controversy with Jordan wearing 11s that didn’t conform to league
rules, Jordan would lace up in Penny Hardaway’s signature Air Flight 1 on 5/12/1995 for one game.
Finally, Jordan would lace up in two Jordan brand shoes with the Wizards. The Jumpman brand continued to expand
its lineup of shoes, and Jordan featured two Wizards colorways of the Jordan Team FBI on the court.
