The Air Jordan 8 was the representative of its time. The flashy colors and design - and its similarity to other basketball shoes in the early 90s make it distinctive amongst the Jordan line.

One other distinctive part of the shoe was that only three original versions were released. Jordan himself wore each version for specific occasions. He stuck to the white “bugs Bunny” model for the regular season, the aqua tone “Aquas” during the All-Star Game, and the black/red “playoffs” version for the playoffs.

In the 1992-1993 season, NBA Jordan himself would finish 3rd in MVP voting, while leading the league in scoring and being selected for All-NBA honors.
